6th Annual Charity Golf Classic

Langley for Families hosted its 6th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Despite the downpour and an early ending, the event was a success, and certainly one to remember.
The event raised $378,000 in gross proceeds, the highest in its history! Net proceeds from the event will be granted to Hampton Roads non-profits making a difference for families and children in the areas of healthcare, housing & human services, education, and safety & security.
Jay Colley, voice of William & Mary’s Tribe basketball and football, emceed the event and kicked off the day with a closest to the pin shoot out. At noon, 84 golfers took off to enjoy the course before the rain began.
The event, originally set for May 2020, was rescheduled due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Tournament team implemented several changes to the event, including a revised schedule, individual golf carts, and prepared meals.
