2025 Summer Food Drive: July 21-August 1
We are excited to share that a total of 4,221 pounds of food was donated during Langley’s 2025 Summer Food Drive! Langley hosted the donation drive from July 21st to August 1st to support our local foodbanks who are working diligently to serve children and families experiencing food insecurity in the summer when access to school meal programs are limited. Our local foodbanks shared that the collective contributions will provide an incredible 5,148 meals to children and families in need across our communities!
These impressive results mean the amount of donations DOUBLED compared to 2024, where a total of 2,064 lbs of food was donated. We are so grateful for the overwhelming generosity of Langley’s employees, members, and friends across our community for stepping up to help our local foodbanks bridge a much needed gap in services.
Donations were collected across all Langley branches, the Bonney Road Contact Center, and our offices at City Center at Oyster Point. All donations were distributed to the foodbanks in the communities Langley serves, including:
- Virginia Peninsula Foodbank
- Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore
- FeedMore (Richmond)
- Foodbank of Central and Eastern North Carolina
Langley for Families’ nonprofit partners who are addressing food insecurity have shared that summer is one of their most critical times of need as many families rely on school meal programs for access to nutritious food. Local food banks help bridge this gap in services through their summer food programs. We appreciate all who contributed to support this deserving cause!
