NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – (December 19, 2025) – The Langley for Families Foundation announced the recipients of its third and final giving cycle of 2025 – a total of $375,500 donated to 46 nonprofit organizations serving those in need across the communities served by Langley Federal Credit Union. The Foundation announced this giving cycle marks a milestone achievement in giving with 25 nonprofit organizations receiving $10,000 or more between the Langley for Families Foundation and the charitable efforts of Langley Federal Credit Union.

“At a time when many nonprofits are being asked to do more with less, we are investing in their success so they can continue serving families and strengthening our communities.” said Jerome Fowlkes, Langley’s Chief Impact Officer and Chairman of the Langley for Families Foundation. “We are proud to support these organizations that are meeting rising needs while navigating funding uncertainty and increased demand for services.”

All grant awards focus on the Foundation’s three core program areas – access to education, healthcare, and housing & human services. In determining grant awards, the Langley for Families Foundation considered the ongoing impact of federal budget cuts on the nonprofit sector.

“In a year that has tested nonprofits in unprecedented ways, these grant recipients have continued to show resilience, creativity, and deep commitment to those in need in our communities,” said Gaurav Bhatia, President/CEO of Langley Federal Credit Union. “Langley and the Langley for Families Foundation recognize the vital role nonprofits play in improving the lives of our friends and neighbors in need. Our nonprofit partners listen to the people they serve, understand the greatest needs in our community, and offer programs and services that are creating lasting pathways to stability and opportunity.”
